History of the brand

To enter LC is to take an initiatory journey into the world of "Conversation" jewellery... "I make jewellery like others write poems" (Madeleine Castaing).

On Rue Saint Honoré, a stone's throw from Place Vendôme, you'll find Lydia Courteille's lair, a cabinet of curiosities where collectors from all over the world, connoisseurs and other lovers of jewellery - unique pieces, both modern and antique - can meet flamboyant creations and rare gems. A scientist, collector, gemmologist and traveller, but above all a jewellery antiquarian at heart, LC has turned to design over the last ten years, dreaming up some thirty collections to share her culture, her emotions and her creations with her customers. A free spirit, her humour and audacity know no bounds, and her creations always combine an overflowing imagination with a touch of provocation... exploring everything from mysterious symbols to archaeology, fauna and flora.

« She has a genius for making jewelry. I trust her taste 100% »
Karl Lagerfeld
